Selling, buying or starting a business - Transitions

Early in his career, the great center fielder Willie Mays liked
to play close to the infield hoping to nail base runners from the outfield.
The result:  his most spectacular catches, glove outstretched over his shoulder,
came as he raced at top speed toward the center-field wall – a risky approach
necessitated by his aggressive fielding.
As Mays aged, he played deeper and deeper in the outfield.

Asked about his retreat, he explained, “I'm getting too old to outrun my mistakes.”

Developing Self Reliance

A rookie third baseman was warming up for his first game in the big leagues
when a veteran shortstop overheard him mutter, “Boy, I hope no balls come to me.”
After a pause, the veteran said,
“Kid when there's one out with the bases loaded,
and your up by one run in the bottom of the ninth, thats when you should be hoping for a hot grounder.
That's the only way you will have a chance to win for your team.
On the day you start hoping the ball comes to you -------

that's when you'll really become a pro.”

St. Theresa's Prayer

May today there be peace within.

May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of  faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing , dance, praise and love.

It is there for each and every one of us.

A group of Americans, retired teachers, recently went to France on a tour.  Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane.  At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on.  'You have been to France before, monsieur?' the customs officer asked sarcastically. Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously.
